B2: Raul Cuero Creativity Interview

Creativity comes from within the mind. Raul grew up where he had to sleep on the floor, with roaches crawling around. As he began reading books he came to a realization that he needed to get out of his house and develop a lifestyle different from his parents. His parents could not read or write. He never took offense to other humans comments on his race, he always took it in a positive way. Raul never fit in with stereotype on the basketball team. He pursued in having an education and knew he was very intelligent even if others viewed him different. Raul has came up with ideas after he graduated and talked to his coach. He is a microbiologist with nine inventions. Some include being able to clean oil after spills, rid of bacteria and mold, an antioxidant production in plants and wrote some books. Raul Cuero came from nothing to something. He wrote a book about his life to show people that even with his social background and ethnicity it's possible to achieve goals and aspects in life. One of the hardest things Raul had gone through has been to be so intelligent and athletic, and no one believed in him and thought he could never do it or get any where.
Raul overcame his past issues with creativity because it represents the unknown and no one expects what is coming. Creativity comes from how you perceive nature and humans connected with it. Being an observer brings creativity to the mind. The problem today in society kids grow up in luxury with an unlimited supply of wants and needs and take too much for granted. There is no communication with kids these days due to electronics and tablets. Creativity has been taken away from these kids because they have the most important part missing from growing up, communication and real human interactions with other kids, even play dates.
Creativity comes in a step process, the beauty of it is to enjoy the ride, it doesn't just come to you. It's more of an adaption to nature. Raul talks a lot about survival. Everything that happens is a different situation playing a different role in your life, leaving some type of significance. People follow too many sets of rules, they don't develop a new mindset or creativity. After being told what to do and having a set guide, and being told everything, you lose the ability to think on your own. That is why it is so important to get an adaption to nature and grow with it gaining a new perspective and sensation.
